Galatasaray could sign Aston Villa’s Youri Tielemans in January, according to Fanatik.
The Turkish champions showed interest in the midfielder in the last window before he decided to join the Villans on a free transfer. This move hasn’t paid off yet as he’s still waiting to make his first league start.
Earlier this month, there were claims stating the 26-year-old’s relationship with Unai Emery is strained but this was denied by his entourage last week, who had also ruled out a possible exit in the winter market.
Despite this, Fanatik talks about the Istanbul club as an option for the Aston Villa player, who is ‘unhappy’ and ‘wants to leave’ Villa Park in January.
Galatasaray already held talks with the Belgium international’s representative in the summer.
It’s claimed the agent has now sent a message to the Turkish giants stating that ‘we can meet again’ for Tielemans and that Galatasaray ‘will take action’ for him in January.
According to Fanatik, Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk ‘wants this transfer very much’ and is in ‘constant talks’ with the club’s leaders to try to sign the Aston Villa man.
Claims linking Tielemans with a move away from Aston Villa could rise if he fails to get more game time in the league in the coming weeks.
