Earlier today, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported Brentford have reached an agreement with Napoli to sign Jens Cajuste on a loan deal with an obligation to buy set at €12m.
Journalist Sacha Tavolieri took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to back it up and then shares more on Brentford’s efforts to get this deal over the line.
He claims the 24-year-old will ‘travel to England’ to undergo medical tests with Brentford, without making it clear whether the player will make a trip today or in the next few days.
The journalist further adds the Sweden international will move to the Premier League side after the Naples club’s Coppa Italia clash against Modena.
It’s worth noting Antonio Conte’s side will play the first round of the cup tie on Saturday. As per Tavolieri, the Bees are set to make Cajuste’s deal official after this fixture, and he hasn’t provided an explanation for this.
Tavolieri claims Thomas Frank’s side will send €1.5m as loan fee to the Serie A side and pay less than €12m to make Cajuste’s stay permanent at the end of next season.
