While Weston McKennie was often linked with Tottenham in the past, the London club have never really moved for him.
Still, the prospect of moving to a club like Spurs, even if he is contractually tied to Juventus for the time being, has filled his head with hope, as the Serie A side look to move him on.
Unfortunately for the USA international, Tottenham have not come forward, with other clubs, such as Aston Villa and Bournemouth, doing so instead.
These options haven’t really tickled his fancy, as has been previously reported, and Corriere dello Sport point out the midfielder still ‘awaits the reappearance of more famous teams on the horizon’.
That’s where Tottenham come in, as they, alongside Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund, have shown interest ‘in the recent past’, and the player ‘seems to be waiting for them’.
This isn’t what Juventus want, as they are looking for a €30m income to move on the transfer window themselves, which both the Villans and the Cherries were ‘willing to guarantee’.
For McKennie, he simply wants to make the right move forward in his career, but it could reach a point where he might not have any other choice by to give up on waiting for Tottenham and choose one of the other two sides.
