Two days ago, Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna reported Manchester City and Stade Rennais have reached an agreement for Jérémy Doku’s transfer. He also reported the winger is scheduled to have his medical tests on Wednesday.
Journalist Sacha Tavolieri took to Twitter to provide the latest on the 21-year-old’s impending move to the Etihad.
He says the Belgium international has started the medical examinations with Manchester City this morning and it’s likely to go on until the first part of the day.
Doku is set to carry out the media duties and sign the contract with the treble winners in the second part of the day. With these developments, the Cityzens should make his signing official in the next few hours.
On Tuesday, Tavolieri stated the former Anderlecht man will be handed the No.11 shirt at the Etihad.
Pep Guardiola has seen Riyad Mahrez leave the Cityzens for Al-Ahli earlier in this window. Doku is set to replace the Algerian at Manchester City.
🏥 🩺 Medical tests started this morning for Jeremy Doku who will be busy to it until the first part of the day.
✍🏼 Second part will be for signature + preparing communications of #MCFC during the afternoon.
