Jhon Arias hopes to travel to England between Sunday and Monday to finalise a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
That’s according to journalist Guillermo Arango, who reports that Arias hopes to travel at the end of this week after obtaining a UK visa.
According to his information Fluminense and Wolves reached a full agreement for the winger on Wednesday.
Arias has been slowly edging towards a move to Wolves this summer for weeks as they look to bolster Vitor Pereira’s squad following several high-profile departures.
The 27-year-old appears to be a top target, and a report yesterday stated that a deal was in the pipeline as Arias had a secret release clause in his deal.
That was inserted when he renewed his new deal earlier this year and is only valid for certain leagues, including the Premier League, and valued at €15m. It has to be paid in full to be activated.
Wolves had instead offered around €20m so they could instead pay in instalments. It was later claimed the Premier League club had agreed to pay €17m plus €5m in potential bonuses.
Either way, Arias is hoping to travel to England soon to finalise his move to Molineux and bring this little saga to an end.
