You may have seen around the internet that Arsenal are very close to signing Albert Sambi Lokonga from Anderlecht.
There has been a lot of talk of the young midfielder making the switch from the Belgian side to the Emirates, and there were reports that his medicals would take place on Friday.
Well, according to Sport1 journalist Patrick Berger, those have been moved forward to Wednesday, with the player ‘in London at the moment’ as he ‘completes the medicals’ today.
Following that, there’s ‘only formalities left to sort’, with a contract until 2026 awaiting Lokonga at Arsenal.

Down the other end, Anderlecht are said to be receiving a €17.5m transfer fee from the Gunners, who are paying the Jupiler Pro League club handsomely for their talented starlet.
The 21-year-old has spent his entire career with the Belgian side to date, making 78 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and picking up seven assists.
