West Ham United’s chase for Girona star Aleix Garcia is now making some noise in the Spanish media.
Back on Monday, Cadena Ser reported that the Hammers had outbid Bayer Leverkusen in the race for the player.
Mundo Deportivo now covers that claims, adding that West Ham are making a strong personal offer, as Garcia would get €4m per year if joining the London side.
So even though Bayer Leverkusen got the first, with nearly a ‘total agreement’ with Girona, it’s now both clubs who try to convince the player.
The Spanish side are apparently happy with both offers, and Garcia is set to have the ‘freedom to decide’ which project to take.
This story has some confusing information about the fees on the table, because it had first been said by Cadena Ser that Bayer Leverkusen offered €16m, with West Ham outbidding them.
Either way, it does sound like the offers are very similar, regardless of how much more the Hammers are putting in. And it will be up to the 26-year-old to decide where he wants to go this summer.
