Hans Vanaken’s agents are trying to convince Club Brugge to sell the midfielder to West Ham United after an initial offer was rejected.
That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who says Vanaken sees the Hammers are his ‘last chance’ to move to the Premier League.
He reports that Brugge have ‘turned down’ an offer from West Ham, who have made their move for the midfielder this week.
They’ve been linked with Vanaken for the past few years and are keen again this summer after missing out on Jesse Lingard.
Several reports today have made it clear he wants the move to the London Stadium, with it stated he ‘continues to hope’ for the move to go through and his ‘clear wish’ is to join West Ham.
Tavolieri backs those up, stating that he sees West Ham as his ‘last chance’ to move to the Premier League.
His advisors are now ‘trying to convince’ Bruges’ management to let him go after they rejected an initial offer from the Hammers.
Whether there is any chance of them being successful remains to be seen, but Vanaken being keen to join West Ham is now well established in Belgium.
