Ajax youngster Jorrel Hato has insisted he won’t be leaving the club this summer, pouring cold water on rumours linking him to Arsenal and Manchester United in the process.
Ajax Life have an interview with the youngster today in which he insists his focus is very much on Ajax and nowhere else for the foreseeable future.
Hato is one of the rising stars at Ajax after breaking through into the first team this season, making 46 appearances in all competitions including the Europa League and Conference League.
At 18-years-old it appears he is set for a bright future and, as is often the case at Ajax with their youngsters, he is already being linked with a potential move away.
Arsenal have already been credited with an interest while Manchester United, who have shopped at Ajax regularly in the last few years., are also named.
Given he only made his debut in the Eredivisie last year and is still only 18-years-old, a move to the Premier League may be too soon for him and it seems he certainly thinks the same, seemingly ruling out Arsenal and Manchester United transfers with his latest comments.
“No, I’ll just play for Ajax next season,” he said.
“I haven’t finished learning here yet. And I want to win prizes with Ajax. That was my dream when I came here.”
