Earlier on Friday, we relayed news from Italy that Tottenham Hotspur are the only club to have moved for AS Roma’s Nicolò Zaniolo.
It was also explained there is a total break between the winger and the Serie A side. The latter have also opened the door for his transfer in the winter market.
Sport Mediaset provide more details on Tottenham’s plan to sign the 23-year-old and also his take on joining them.
The Italy international has said ‘yes’ to Spurs because the idea of playing under Antonio Conte at the north London club ‘seduces’ him.
Spurs chief Fabio Paratici has made contact with the Giallorossi in recent days. However, the deal is complicated because the Premier League side will have to find an agreement with the José Mourinho’s side.
Tottenham want to buy the player on loan with an obligation to buy at €20m, if certain set conditions are achieved.
Among these conditions are the English club qualifying for the Champions League next season.
Roma, on the other hand, are looking to sell or send the player on loan with an obligation to buy with easy to achieve conditions, and they are aiming to collect around €35-40m for Zaniolo.
If Roma fail to find an agreement with Tottenham or another side, Zaniolo will finish the season with his current employer.
