It wouldn’t really be the end of the transfer window without Domagoj Vida getting involved.
Il Messaggero report that AS Roma are tempted by the Besiktas player, as sports director Monchi looks to bring in a defender before the window closes.
The Croatian ‘has been proposed’ in the ‘past few hours’ to Fulham and Inter Milan, according to the Italian newspaper.
There’s no further claims on a possible deal, but Fulham have been linked repeatedly with Vida, who impressed for his country at the World Cup in Russia.
In December we covered claims from Turkey that Fulham were lining up an offer for the player ahead of the January window, with the club said to be aware they needed to to strengthen Claudio Ranieri’s options quickly.
Then, on January 3rd, France’s Le10 Sport got involved and claimed the Premier League club had made Vida their priority and could submit an offer ‘very soon’.
