Leicester City winger Yunus Akgün should soon return to Galatasaray, according to the latest reports from Turkey.
Aksam claims the Foxes will not use the buying option they have over the player.
The report claims that Leicester City are ‘happy’ with Akgün, and the problem is that they’re not willing to spend on the purchase because of Financial Fair Play.
Following the loan from Galatasaray last summer, the Foxes would now have the right to buy him for €9m.
Since arriving at the Championship side, Akgün has contributed two goals and three assists, and those are numbers that make it hard for the club to justify that potential spend.
The Turkish outlet insists that Leicester City would like to keep him, though, contrary to reports from the English media, and that the price is the real problem.
We shall see if the Foxes will try to bring the price down by asking for a discount. The winger is valued by Transfermarkt at €5m, and Galatasaray may not be that interested in keeping him for next season.
