Just over a week ago, Nottingham Forest joined the race to sign Ramón Sosa and started negotiations with Talleres over a potential deal this summer.
Two days later, journalist Bruno Pont said the Reds had made a $14m bid, but didn’t end up convincing the Argentine club. He also stated Talleres gave Nottingham Forest time until the end of July to return with an improved offer.
Nuno Espírito Santo’s side seem to have made advances in their pursuit of the winger if Thursday’s edition of Clarín is to be believed.
The newspaper points out the Paraguay international was left out of the squad in his side’s 1-1 draw against CA Banfield on Sunday. It’s to be noted the 24-year-old hasn’t featured for Talleres since the Copa América.
Sosa, along with Talleres president Andrés Fassi, has travelled to England to complete the move to Nottingham Forest.
Clarín state Nottingham Forest are offering $14m [£11m] to secure the player’s services, and the deal is expected to be completed soon.
It’s worth noting that last week’s report said Nottingham Forest’s $14m proposal didn’t convince the Argentine club, while Clarín are stating that the deal would be concluded for the same figure.
