Aston Villa’s new signing Jhon Durán seems to be taking the final steps to complete the move to the Premier League side.
According to the latest reports from the Colombian media, the player will soon travel to England to have medicals and sign the contract with the Villans.
Journalist Pipe Sierra writes that the 19-year-old has already left the national team’s U-20 squad to fly to Birmingham.
It’s said the ‘idea’ is for the player to return to his home country to play the U-20 South American Cup. However, there’s nothing decided yet.

It was Sierra who brought the details about the price for this transfer, claiming Aston Villa were spending US$18m (£14.75m) up front, plus US$10m (8.2m) in bonuses.
It turns out that on Monday, he also featured a tweet saying the player would do his medicals in Cali, just so he wouldn’t get too far from the national team squad.
However, that tweet was deleted, with Sierra claiming Duran is now indeed travelling to England, and that’s probably due to Aston Villa’s request.
