Lecce striker Nikola Krstovic has found himself stuck in limbo after putting Leeds United on hold this summer.
That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, who report that the striker is still waiting for the big move he desires in Italy, which had led to him put Leeds on the backburner.
They explain that Lecce are asking for €30m for their striker, but would take around €25m, but there has been no big interest from the best of Serie A so far.
Atalanta have other ideas, Juventus and AC Milan have made it clear they’d only move if it was a low cost operation and the other club simply aren’t interested.
Leeds were the ones to make a proper offer, of €23m plus €2m in bonuses, but Krstovic did not accept that. Various reports in Italy have made it clear he told Leeds he wanted a move elsewhere first. Indeed, despite there being denials in the UK, the insistence has been absolute.
Krstovic wants a big club, rather than a middle of the table but, or one that could risk relegation again. Which of those latter two he sees Leeds as, isn’t made clear.
Either way, none of the big clubs have moved for him and now he finds himself in limbo, hoping that changes before the end of the window.
