As the chase for Rıdvan Yılmaz goes on, the Turkish media now highlights the player’s desire to leave Rangers, despite being used regularly by Philippe Clement.
Journalist Ertan Süzgün, relayed by Sports Digitale, claims that the fullback’s ‘choice’ is to join Galatasaray at least on a loan deal.
The Rangers’ player is said to be keen on making a four-month move to try to get a place in Turkey’s squad for the Euros this year.
The clubs are still in negotiations for the transfer, with the report claiming they both want the loan to include a buying option, with the Scottish side being tough in negotiations.
The claims are very different from those made by Fanatik earlier today, as it had been said that Galatasaray had placed a €3.5m offer, while Rangers wanted €4.5m.
In case the Turkish side can’t afford the Ibrox side’s demands, perhaps this loan will indeed be a viable solution for all parties, as long as they can agree the amount for the buying option.
Yılmaz’s transfer out of Rangers has become a saga, and since the Turkish transfer window only shuts on the 9th of February, that may drag for a little longer.
