Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera has landed in Singapore to link up with Arsenal and finalise his move to the Emirates.

That’s according to El Chiringuito and journalist Germán Muñoz who report that the defender’s move to Arsenal is set to be finalised soon.

The former reports that Mosquera has landed in Singapore, where Arsenal are taking part in a pre-season tournament this summer. They state that Arsenal’s squad is already waiting for him to link up with them. The belief is that his arrival from Valencia will be made official soon.

This is backed up by Muñoz, although he reports that Mosquera is currently on the plane heading to Singapore rather than having already landed. Either way, he is on his way to the Asian country to link up Arsenal.

Their move for the Valencia defender appears to be in the final stages after being worked on over the last few weeks. There’s no mention of the transfer fee at this moment in time.

Arsenal have shown no hesitation in spending already this summer, with Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga already arriving in deals worth €142.8m and Mosquera set to add to that.
