On November 30th, Corriere dello Sport stated West Ham United are keeping tabs on FC Luzern’s Ardon Jashari. It was also explained that he could be a bargain for the Premier League side as he’s valued at €6m.
Operating mainly as a defensive midfielder, he’s managed four goals and two assists from 23 games this season.
The Switzerland international’s form seems to have caught the attention of West Ham and a few other clubs.
That’s according to Neue Zürcher Zeitung, who state the Hammers, SC Freiburg, Villarreal and Bologna are among the clubs interested in the 21-year-old. The newspaper backs him to ‘continue to shape Swiss football for a long time’.
Solothurner Zeitung have a report on the midfielder and their title questions whether he’ll soon play for West Ham or Freiburg.
Within the report, it’s explained that Jashari is in talks with David Moyes’ side, Villarreal and the German club.
The player graduated from the Swiss club’s youth system and made his way into their first team in 2020. His current deal lasts until 2026 and Luzern president Stefan Wolf has ruled out a transfer for him in January.
When Nau.ch asked whether Jashari’s sale would improve the club’s finances, he said: “We don’t have to sell Ardon. In addition, three parties always have to agree to a transfer – there is nothing on my table. We would like to continue working with Ardon Jashari until the end of the season, after all we have sporting ambitions.”
