With every report that appears on the subject, Newcastle United appear to be a favoured destination for Federico Chiesa.
It’s widely known the Italy international wouldn’t mind trying something new after falling out of favour at Juventus due to Max Allegri’s 3-5-2 formation, and a move to the Magpies has been touted.
Newcastle have already bought Sandro Tonali from AC Milan, and Corriere dello Sport have an update on his compatriot, where they look at two possible sales from the Turin side.
The first is Dusan Vlahovic, while the second would be Chiesa, for whom the Serie A side would want ‘at least €55m’.
Liverpool are also keen, but they would need to get rid of a forward before that move becomes a reality.
Either way, it’s added that Chiesa would ‘gladly listen to the proposals’ of both the Reds and Newcastle, who have both shown their interest in the player without taking it any further for now.
There has also been talk that Eddie Howe and co. would need to offload Allan Saint-Maximin before trying for Chiesa, so we need to keep an eye on that particular potential exit first.
