There’s more positive news coming from France regarding Iliman Ndiaye and a potential move to Everton this summer.
The player hasn’t had the impact at Marseille that everyone hoped for after his move there last summer. He’d really pushed Sheffield United to allow him to go to Ligue 1, having been in Marseille’s youth system for a period as a youngster and feeling a strong affinity with the club.
He played 46 games for them last season, a lot as a substitute, and scored four goals. The previous season he’d scored 15 goals and added 12 assists for Sheffield United during their promotion campaign.
RMC now report Ndiaye has given his agreement to an Everton move and the negotiations to continue with the Premier League club.
They say that was an outstanding aspect after the two clubs came close with their stances on the move. There’s no finances being shared on this deal yet, and presumably that will come later.
According to RMC, Ndiaye is ‘heading towards an imminent departure’ from Marseille.
