Last week, we carried a report from Sport, who claimed that Barcelona technical secretary Eric Abidal’s assistant Ramon Planes had travelled to France to watch Tanguy Ndombele in action for Lyon against Manchester City.
Journalist Miguel Rico, writing for another Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo, once again relays the same information that the La Liga winners are following the midfielder in Saturday’s edition of the newspaper.
Ernesto Valverde’s side are not the only club after the France international as we have covered reports talking about Everton and Manchester City’s interest in the 21-year-old.
Earlier in September, Ndombele committed his future to his current employer by signing a new five-year contract and the Ligue 1 outfit’s president, Jean-Michel Aulas, has already received offers for his player believed to be in excess of €50m.
The report mentions Aulas has already fixed a price for his asset as he thinks the former Amiens man is worth as much as his compatriot, Paul Pogba.
Manchester United paid €105m re-sign him from Juventus in 2016 and it should be seen whether Lyon can earn €100m or above from Ndombele’s sale.
