A couple of days ago, we covered reports from the French media saying Chelsea were interested in signing José Gayà from Valencia.
Website Soccer Link said things were at the ‘talking stage’ for now, and since the story didn’t have a lot of information, we expected something else to come from England or Spain.
The press from both countries covered the claims, but now Valencia outlet Super Deporte comes to calm things down a little.
Furthermore, the player is said to be totally focused on Valencia, and ‘doesn’t even want to know’ about the Blues’ interest in signing him.
Of course this is a wise thing to say at this stage of the season, and we wonder if Gayà’s response would be the same in case an offer from the Premier League side really arrives.
