Fulham may have done a big effort to convince Fodé Ballo-Touré to join the club, but they now seem to have failed in their mission.
A new report from Calciomercato journalist Daniele Longo now claims that the player has ‘definitely refused’ a move to Craven Cottage.
The reporter claims the negotiation has been ‘cancelled’, even though there had been a ‘total agreement’ between Fulham and AC Milan for a €4m transfer.
It’s now been a while since the Italian media started claiming that Ballo-Touré wasn’t keen on joining Marco Silva’s side.
Fulham and Bologna were said to be battling for his signing, and the player was always in favour of staying in Serie A following an imminent departure from Milan.
On Wednesday, it was even claimed the Craven Cottage side had made a strong personal offer to convince the player, putting a yearly salary worth €2m net. That was said to be an ammount Bologna couldn’t reach.
Still, it seems Ballo-Touré has a very good reason not to move to London, and should now seek another destination.
