Earlier on Tuesday, we covered the Paraguay media getting confirmation that Enso Gonzalez is likely leaving Libertad for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Club president Ruben Di Tore claimed the talks were advancing, and a deal could be finalised in about 24 hours.
Now as journalist Cesar Luis Merlo brings an update on the situation, it’s claimed that Gonzalez is literally on his way to Wolverhampton.
The reporter writes that the player is currently flying to England to have his medical and sign a six-year contract with the Molineux side.
The journalist does not give any details on how much Wolves are paying for the transfer, just mentioning that Libertad are keeping 20% of a future move.
The transfer is taken as done, and it now seems like a matter of time until the clubs make it official.
Despite being just 18, Gonzalez already has 39 appearances for Libertad’s first team, with three goals and two assists so far.
He’s been a regular starter in their Copa Libertadores campaign, and that’s probably where he caught the interest of Wolves.
