On May 2nd, journalist Devrim Zengi indicated that Fenerbahçe star Ferdi Kadıoğlu could end up at Arsenal in the summer window.

The left-back has scored three goals from 49 games and the Gunners have followed him live on several occasions this season.

Arsenal have taken steps to try to sign the 24-year-old, according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to explain that the north London club have been in ongoing discussions with Kadıoğlu’s camp to ‘find an agreement’ for personal terms.

Tavolieri made it clear this is his own information and claims sources close to the Turkey international have informed him that the player is ‘close to’ Mikel Arteta’s side. He adds the Premier League club are yet to open talks with Fenerbahçe for Kadıoğlu.

Arsenal could make contact with the Istanbul club, once they sort out a contractual agreement with the fullback.

The Gunners seem to have plans to make an approach to Fenerbahçe as multiple claims from the Turkish press stated last month that they are preparing to make an offer of around €20m to sign Kadıoğlu in the next window.
