On August 5th, Foot Mercato reported Nottingham Forest have joined Leicester City in the chase for Lyon’s Houssem Aouar.
It was also explained the 24-year-old seems close to leaving the Ligue 1 side in the summer window.
Four days ago, L’Equipe stated that Nottingham Forest are the most concrete option for the midfielder to leave Lyon and the English club have have made the first offer to secure his services.
Fast forward to Sunday and Gianluca Di Marzio provides a fresh development on the case. It’s claimed the France international is ‘very close’ to joining Steve Cooper’s side. That’s about the only piece of information shared by the website.
Gianluca Di Marzio took to Twitter to explain the Ligue 1 man is now ‘close’ to Nottingham Forest and added that ‘talks ongoing’. He didn’t make it clear whether these talks are between the two clubs or between the east midland side and the player.
