Libertad midfielder Enso González ‘will sign for Wolverhampton Wanderers’, with his agent, Pedro Aldave, confirming a deal is close.
That’s according to Solo Deporte, who cover the agent confirming the youngster’s move to England is set to be finalised.
They explain that González is ‘about to close’ his move to Wolves, with Aldave having confirmed that he will move to the Premier League despite interest from Roma.
The agent has admitted that he met with representatives of the Italian team in Italy but the relationship between the Premier League side and Libertad ‘was decisive’ in González’s decision. There is also a belief the player can develop better in England than Italy.
A deal is now close to being done and while no figures have been released as yet, it is expected to be a ‘major sale’ for Libertad.
D10, meanwhile, cover comments from Libertad’s president Rubén Di Tore, who has spoken on the negotiations with Wolves and the speed in which it was done.
According to the website, González will sign a six-year deal with Wolves, who will buy 80% of his rights and leave 20% with Libertad.
“Everything was very fast, a percentage of the pass will remain for the club,” Di Tore confirmed in comments on the matter.
“You have to pass the medical tests. Enso González does not have any injuries and when the formalities are finished an announcement will be made.
“The Premier League teams watch Paraguayan football and the visibility we have is very important.”
