Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Mario Lemina has told Africa Foot that talks are ongoing for him to leave Molineux before the winter market closes next Monday.
The midfielder has made one appearance since Vítor Pereira replaced Gary O’Neil as Wolves manager on December 19th.
Pereira has publicly stated Lemina wants to leave Wolves in this window and therefore he’s left him out of his plans. The manager also said the 31-year-old isn’t mentally in the right state.
Recent claims have stated Saudi Arabia’s Al-Shabab FC have been chasing the former Juventus man for weeks. The Turkish press have named Galatasaray as one of his suitors, but they aren’t willing to meet Wolves’ asking price.
Africa Foot now claim the Gabon international could return to Serie A as Torino are keen on securing his services. The Turin club have already started discussions with the Premier League side over a deal for the Gabon international.
Lemina has confirmed to Africa Foot that he could leave Pereira’s side in the last week of the transfer window.
“Everything can go very quickly in the next few days. Negotiations are continuing,” he said.
The player has made 19 appearances across all competitions for Wolves this season.
