Two days ago, Fennec Football reported a Tottenham Hotspur scout watched Royale Union Saint-Gilloise star Mohamed Amoura against Fenerbahçe in the UEFA Conference League last Thursday.
This is relayed by Voetbal Belgie, who then state the north London club have the striker and his teammate Kōki Machida on their radar.
It’s claimed Tottenham are considering possible deals for the two players in the summer.
Union Saint-Gilloise signed the 23-year-old from Swiss side Lugano for €4m last summer, and he has starred in his debut season, scoring 21 goals and registering five assists.
Ange Postecoglou’s side will continue to monitor the Algeria international closely in the coming weeks and months. His deal lasts until 2027 and he’s valued at €10m. The report states the Jupiler Pro League side are aiming for €20m for Amoura.
Another Belgian website Footnews has backed up this claim and provides more updates on this case.
Amoura and Machida have attracted the attention of European clubs and only Tottenham are mentioned. It’s claimed the frontman ‘can count on the interest’ of Spurs, who are already keeping close tabs on the 26-year-old Japan international.
Spurs will continue to keep an eye on Amoura, who is valued at €20m by the Belgian club. Tottenham want the Algerian and the report adds it’ll be ‘difficult’ for Union Saint-Gilloise to hold on to him, if the attacker were to extend his fine form until the end of this season.
