Last week, it was reported in France that Newcastle United, as well as trying to get a deal done for Stanley Nsoki, were after his teammate Moussa Sissako.
RMC journalist Loic Tanzi claimed Steve Bruce’s side had been working on a deal for the young centre-back ‘for the past few weeks’ and that an agreement was ‘close to being found’.
However, Brighton & Hove Albion have now joined the race, scuppering whatever Newcastle were working on.
The same journalist states on Tuesday both the Seagulls and the Magpies have made him an offer, and the youngster is ‘between the two’.

The pair have offered him a four-year contract to look over, and ‘everything should be decided in the next few hours’, seemingly with a desire to get this sorted by the end of the day.
Now it’s just up to the 18-year-old, who has to work out whether a move to St James’ Park or the Amex Community Stadium is what’s best for him.
Basically, Steve Bruce or Graham Potter?
