Portuguese youngster Rodrigo Gomes has ‘already signed’ a contract with Wolverhampton Wanderers, the Portuguese media says.
Record writes that right after having his medical with the Molineux side, the player signed a five-year deal, with an option for an extra season.
As previously reported by the Portuguese press, Wolves are paying €15m for the transfer, with Braga keeping 10% of a future sale.
The report also claims that the clubs should make the move official on Wednesday.
Rodrigo Gomes is a product of Braga’s youth ranks and was loaned to Estoril last summer. He made 36 appearances for them last season, and basically played in all defensives and attacking positions on the flanks of the pitch.
Wolves’ chase has been going on for a while, because back in January, the player’s agent had already confirmed that he had some contacts with the Molineux side.
Braga ended up finding a good opportunity with the sale, as that’s a quite reasonable fee for a player who is not at Benfica, Porto of Sporting. And now we’ll have another Portuguese player at Wolves.
