Former Arsenal player Anders Limpar has stated he is ‘dreaming’ of Victor Gyökeres wearing an Arsenal shirt next season.
Fotboll Direkt have conducted an interview with Limpar, and he shared his thoughts on the potential signing of Sporting CP striker Victor Gyokeres.
Limpar believes Gyökeres would be a ‘professional’ figure for The Gunners as he wants to ‘improve on a daily basis’.
Arsenal are desperate to sign a player who can score regularly, which had became an issue for them last season due to the long-term injuries of Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.
Limpar believes the decision is “up to Viktor if he signs for Arsenal now, which I hope he does.”
The former Arsenal players believes that “you never know when it comes to transfer fees”, but hopes Arsenal a player he believes is “one of the best nines in the world right now”.
Fotball Direckt questioned Limpar on whether Gyökeres is the best reinforcement Arsenal could make a striker.
Despite the transfer rumours of Benjamin Sesko and Ollie Watkins to Arsenal this transfer window, Limpar believes that these have been thrown into the discussion as with “top clubs there will always be rumours about the best players”.
Limpar can see this signing being “the last piece of the puzzle for the team” as Arsenal target silverware this upcoming season, and the “perfect icing on the cake” for Mikel Arteta’s squad.
