On Sunday, Kronen Zeitung reported Celtic are on the verge of signing Nicolas Kühn and the Rapid Wien player is waiting to fly to Glasgow to join Brendan Rodgers’ side.
It was also stated the winger’s move to Celtic Park was held back a little because the Austrian side’s sporting director, Markus Katzer, wanted to secure a replacement first before sanctioning his move.
Monday’s Niederösterreich Ausgabe provides a new update which will please Rodgers and Celtic.
In a short report, they say the 24-year-old goes to Celtic for a deal around €3.5m. Rapid Wien managed to secure his replacement as it’s claimed Hertha Berlin’s Kélian Nsona is set to take the German’s place in the squad.
Sky Austria also explain that Kühn is getting closer towards making a switch to Celtic, where he is set to sign a deal until 2028. He’s seen as Rodgers’ ‘absolute dream’ target and the two spoke on Sunday.
The outlet adds the player has flown to London yesterday and will have his Celtic medical there on Monday.
Kühn has scored three goals and registered seven assists from 22 games this season.
