Nicolas Kühn’s transfer from Rapid Vienna to Celtic is just a matter of time, according to the latest reports from Austria.

Newspaper Kronen Zeitung today features a short story just explaining why the move to Brendan Rodgers’ side has been held back a little bit.

The outlet writes that as Rapid Vienna played Sportclub on Saturday, Kühn stayed out of the game just to avoid any injuries before the transfer to Celtic.

It’s said the player is ‘fit’ and ‘just waiting to fly’ to Glasgow to complete the move.

According to Kronen Zeitung, Celtic agreed to Rapid Vienna’s demands and are rumoured to be paying €3.5m for the signing. The only reason Kühn hasn’t flown yet is that Markus Katzer, the sports director at the Austrian side, wants a replacement signed before the player goes.

The winger has three goals and seven assists in 22 appearances for Rapid Vienna this season, and stayed in good shape since his arrival from Bayern Munich back in 2022.

The agreement with Celtic seems pretty much reached, with the player just waiting for the green light to complete the transfer.
