The German media today brings some news on the future of Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg writes it’s ‘very likely’ the 27-year-old will leave Pep Guardiola’s side in the winter window.
It’s said Phillips’ entourage is currently ‘sounding out the market’ as they seek a new destination for him still this season.
A potential exit from Manchester City on a loan with an option to buy is thought to be the most possible scenario, even though there are no clear candidates at this stage.
Regarding Bayern Munich rumours, Plettenberg claims that transfer was never ‘hot’ in the summer. Now even though there are no talks about that move at this stage, it’s ‘not excluded’ he’ll be offered to the Bundesliga giants in the coming weeks.
That scenario is said to be ‘one to watch’, and it pretty much seems like other candidates for the signing will show up soon.
Phillips only has five appearances for Manchester City this season, with a total of 167 minutes on the pitch. His contract with the club runs until 2028.
