Chelsea have been regularly named as a contender to sign Victor Osimhen, ever since he suggested that he could leave Napoli at the end of this season.
The Serie A side are open to parting ways with the striker and are waiting for an interested party to pay a big fee.
That’s according to Sport Mediaset, who state Chelsea are one of the Premier League sides in the picture to sign the 25-year-old in the summer.
The Nigeria international has his ‘suitcases in hand’ to leave, and his club are waiting for a big cheque. The report adds Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis is ready to sanction his sale for €130m.
It’s claimed interested parties have lined up for him, including the Blues and Paris Saint-Germain. The latter’s president, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, aims to convince him to become Kylian Mbappé’s successor at Parc des Princes.
Chelsea are ‘one step ahead’ of other clubs in the transfer race, and it’s further claimed the west London club in particular have ‘moved well in advance’ to secure his services.
Along with Chelsea and PSG, Arsenal and Manchester United are said to be interested in the former Lille man.
Osimhen has 13 goals and four assists from 24 games this season.
