Last finding the back of the net in Serie A on December 17th, Lautaro Martinez isn’t living his best moment in an Inter shirt.

This has led to questions about his future at San Siro going forward, as well as the arrival of another forward to either help or replace him.

Gianluca Scamacca has been the strongest name, but Calciomercato.it believe Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus is also being considered of late by the Italian club.

It’s claimed the Brazilian is ‘strongly back in fashion’ at Inter, and the Pep Guardiola favourite is an ‘old obsession’ of Piero Ausilio, who already wanted him when he was at Palmeiras.

Jesus’ contractual situation, which expires in 18 months, could help the Serie A side in their endeavours this summer, with it claimed the 24-year-old ‘is totally within the spending parameters of Inter’.

That being said, they aren’t the only ones, with city rivals Milan also on the case, as they search for the ‘credible heir’ of Zlatan Ibrahimović.

Over at Manchester City, the Premier League leaders ‘have been thinking about a renewal, but to date, the negotiations have not yet taken off’.

That’s something to keep an eye on going forward, as we appear to be heading towards yet another summer transfer window where Gabriel Jesus is incessantly linked to a move to Italy.

This time, however, it won’t be Juventus.
