‘Official offer’ expected from Aston Villa ‘within a week’ – Moving forward after Wolves bid rejected

Two months ago, Fanatik explained that Aston Villa aren’t giving up on Semih Kılıçsoy after Beşiktaş rejected their proposal last summer.

It was also stated the Villans are preparing an offer for the forward who’s keen on making a switch to the Premier League.

Fast forward to January and a fresh report from Fanatik provides new developments on Aston Villa’s pursuit of the 18-year-old, with Wolves also keen on the player.

Beşiktaş manager Fernando Santos has used him across the three attacking positions this season. He’s managed six goals and an assist from 15 games, out of which five goals and an assist came in the last four games.

Kılıçsoy’s recent form has seen a few English clubs knock on the Black Eagles’ door to try and sign the Turkey U19 international in January. The report explains that Wolverhampton Wanderers have already seen an offer rejected by the Istanbul club.

After Beşiktaş’ 3-0 win over Fatih Karagümrük at the weekend, Unai Emery’s side have ‘made their decision’ on Kılıçsoy.

It’s claimed Aston Villa’s ‘official offer’ for the versatile attacker will arrive at the Turkish club ‘within a week’.

Kılıçsoy’s deal lasts until 2028 and Fanatik don’t specify Beşiktaş’ request or the fee Aston Villa could offer for him. There’s also the chance that Wolves could return with a better offer than their first effort.
