On Friday, Gianluca di Marzio reported it was a decisive day for Napoli to make progress in their pursuit of AFC Bournemouth’s Hamed Traorè. Later that day, the Italian journalist said the Serie A side are close to agreeing a deal with the Cherries for the 23-year-old.
There’s been a new development as the Naples club have found an agreement with Bournemouth, according to Sport Mediaset.
It’s said Walter Mazzarri’s side will sign the midfielder on a loan deal with an option to buy set at €25m and only the official announcement is missing.
Sport Mediaset add Traorè will undergo medical tests next week, which is why he won’t travel with his new teammates to Saudi Arabia, where Napoli take on Fiorentina in the Supercoppa Italiana next Thursday.
Napoli’s agreement with Bournemouth to sign the Ivory Coast international on loan, with a right of redemption set at €25m, is also reported by Calciomercato.it.
They, however, explain that the player will have his Napoli medical ‘within the next 48 hours’. If that were to be true, he may travel to Saudi Arabia for the Supercoppa Italiana.
This deal will see Traorè return to Serie A, a year after he left Sassuolo for Bournemouth.
