PSV Eindhoven midfielder Érick Gutiérrez has handed Fulham a glint of hope ahead of the summer transfer window, hinting this year could be his last with the Eredivisie side.
The Mexican has been speaking to Eindhovens Dagblad, relayed by Soccer News, about his future plans as he eyes up a potential move this summer.
He’s been with PSV since 2018 and been a regular for them since that point but has been out of the side under Ruud van Nistelrooy this season, making the starting 11 just 39% of the time and featuring in just 49% of the available minutes.
Indeed, a report last month made their interest clear, stating that Fulham were one of the clubs ‘in the market’ for the player and there was a good chance he would be moved on.
Now Gutiérrez has added fuels to those flames, insisting he will consider his future if there are offers for him.
“My children are now three and four years old, born here and completely used to the environment,” he said.
“I will soon be here for five years, and the club is in my heart, forever. If offers come in, I’ll look at them calmly with my agent and it’s also important what PSV want.”
