It’s never been a secret that Fabian Balbuena is leaving West Ham United this summer.

As his contract with the Hammers expires at the end of the month, the defender’s agent has been claiming for some time that he’s not signing a new deal with the club.

Balbuena only made 14 appearances for the London side this season, and that was always pointed out as the reason why he’s looking for a new place.

The player’s agent, Renato Bittar, has now been interviewed by Paraguayan radio La Union, and made it clear that they’re already in negotiations with many other clubs.

“We’re working on the Fabian issue. He’ll continue in Europe. His priority is Europe,” said Bittar (via Estadio Deportivo).

“We have offers almost every day for him from many markets. We’re going to see which way we are going. He gives a lot of importance to the sporting matter.”

“Fabián is a free agent. He ended his contract with West Ham days ago. We’re negotiating an extensive contract in Europe.”

Balbuena joined West Ham on a €4m deal from Corinthians back in 2018, and made a total of 61 appearances for the Hammers in his three years at the club.

Now starting for Paraguay in Copa America, the 26-year-old will certainly have a few more interested clubs chasing him.

The Spanish press makes big coverage of Bittar’s quotes as Betis seem to be in the race for his signing.
