Sabah have reported on the latest developments regarding Fenerbahce’s pursuit of Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley, claiming the Turkish side are preparing an offer for the player.

The Denmark international has recently been linked with a move to Istanbul as the Super Lig side look to land one of Brendan Rodgers’ star players.

According to Sabah, as relayed by Milliyet, Fenerbahce are looking to table a bid of around €10m for O’Riley as they look to strengthen in the summer transfer window.

It’s reported Fener want to sit down with the Celtic player’s agent at the end of the season in the hope of getting a deal done for the Dane.

However, as we pointed out earlier this week it’s very unlikely Rodgers and the Celtic board will want to lose one of their key men and a €10m offer looks well below his valuation.

He’s also been linked with a move to Italy in recent days, which would be more attractive.

O’Riley has made 44 appearances this season and has been instrumental in Celtic’s pursuit of back-to-back league titles. He’s contacted to the club until June 2027.
