Aston Villa let Enzo Barrenechea spend this season on loan at Valencia after signing him from Juventus in July of last year.

The Argentine has already played his last game for the La Liga club and said goodbye to them before returning to Aston Villa.

On Monday, Superdeporte reported Unai Emery and Aston Villa have to make a decision on whether to include him in their plans next season or send him elsewhere.

Fiorentina have now emerged as a new candidate to sign the 24-year-old in the summer window. That’s according to Tribuna Deportiva Valencia, relayed by LaViola.it.

They state the Serie A club have made an offer to the Villans to bring the midfielder back to Italy. There’s no mention of the details of the proposal made by Fiorentina.

Tribuna Deportiva Valencia state the Premier League club are requesting €10m plus bonuses to part ways with Barrenechea in the upcoming window. It’s unclear whether the Italian club are willing to meet the Villans’ demand.

Aston Villa paid €8m plus €3m bonuses to secure the South American’s services and can make a profit by selling him for €10m in fixed fee.
