Following reports from the English media claiming Tottenham Hotspur are no longer pursuing Julian Nagelsmann for their managerial vacancy, it’s time for the German press to have their say on this story.
Bild feature a story claiming that according to their sources close to Spurs, this potential agreement is indeed ‘smashed’.
It’s said Tottenham had ‘obvious doubts’ whether it would make sense to pursue Nagelsmann at a time so soon after his departure from Bayern Munich.
The manager is supposed to ‘calmly reflect’ on his exit from the Bundesliga giants, with Bild pointing out he had already been linked to Chelsea immediately after his dismissal.
The German outlet adds that Nagelsmann himself is set to reorganise everything around him, starting with his coaching staff. None of his assistants are set to follow him in his next job, and it will certainly also require some time for him to sort out his next entourage.
With the German coach now out of the picture, Tottenham remain linked to the likes of Xabi Alonso, Arne Slot, Brendan Rodgers, Graham Potter, Ruben Amorim and others.
