According to a claim in the Greek media, Nottingham Forest are showing an interest in Apollon Smyrnis attacker Christos Albanis.
His name in Greek is Χρήστος Αλμπάνης and he’s sometimes referred to in English as Christos Almpanis.
Sdna.Gr report the player is a target for the Championship side and the club’s owner Vangelis Marinakis is working on a deal.
Albanis is a 23-year old winger, and Sdna state Nottingham Forest will face competition from Greek champions AEK for this transfer.
It’s reported the attacker has a €500K release clause, and the English club are ready to offer Albanis a salary of €300K a season to convince him to move to the City Ground.
The player has just finished his first season in the Greek top flight after Apollon were promoted to the Greek Super League in 2017.
Beofre heading to Greece in 2015, Albanis spent his youth career in Germany with Werder Bremen, Frankfurt and Freiburg.
The youngster can also play as a striker, and has scored 8 goals for his club in 29 games this season. Albanis is contracted to Apollon until June 2020.
