Nottingham Forest are insisting on a deal for French youngster Bradley Locko and are ‘intensifying’ their efforts to get him.
That’s according to Le 10 Sport, who say Nottingham Forest are determined to get the Stade Brestois youngster.
They explain that Locko is currently shining with the French team at the Olympics and that is increasing interest in him, with Nottingham Forest first linked also a month ago.
That report also stated that Napoli were keen but Le 10 say that is not the case and it is instead Forest who are leading the race for him.
They are ‘fully on’ the 22-year-old and trying ‘almost daily’ to move the discussions with Stade Brestois forward.
They’ve made the player a priority to strengthen their defence and, but Brest are current refusing to budge from a €15m asking price that Forest do not want to pay.
Locko is aware of the interest, ‘attentive’ to any possibilities that may arise, and has made it clear that the project at Nottingham Forest would appeal to him. If he is to leave, he would like to join Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
The two clubs still need to agree on a deal, though, which it seems would require Nottingham Forest increasing how much they’re willing to spend.
