Nottingham Forest have been trying to sign Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush before the transfer window closes later today.

On Thursday, Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg reported the Reds have made multiple bids for the striker. Their last offer was said to be around €20-25m, which hasn’t convinced the Bundesliga side.

Later that day, we covered claims from Germany which stated the 23-year-old wants to join Nottingham Forest. It was also reported Eintracht Frankfurt are ready to sell him for €30m.

Bild now brings the ‘new development’ in the Premier League side’s efforts to secure the player’s services.

Marmoush ‘really wants’ the move to England and his wish is likely to be fulfilled. There’s been claims in England that Nuno Espírito Santo’s side have made a €30m bid. Bild relay that and then provide their own information on this case.

Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche wants €30m plus bonuses for the Egypt international.

It’s claimed the two clubs ‘suddenly came closer than ever’ on Thursday evening. This indicates Nottingham Forest are willing to meet or at least come close to the Bundesliga side’s request.

The report adds ‘concrete negotiations are currently underway’, likely between the two clubs.

If Marmoush were to leave, Eintracht Frankfurt will have to sign a new striker. Bild claim this won’t be an issue as they have already identified Stade Rennais’ Arnaud Kalimuendo as the target.
