Nottingham Forest signing is cancelled – Club ‘put an end’ to negotiations with Reds

Nottingham Forest have already seen Feyenoord reject their first bid of €25m for Santiago Giménez.

On Wednesday, Voetbal International stated the Reds made an improved offer of €30m. It was also said Nuno Espírito Santo’s side ‘know’ that Feyenoord want more for the striker.

Later that day, journalist Martijn Krabbendam reported the 23-year-old may be tempted to join Nottingham Forest.

A fresh report from Voetbal International provides the latest on the Premier League side’s efforts to sign the player.

It’s claimed the Eredivisie side didn’t even respond to Nottingham Forest’s latest offer of €26m plus €4m bonuses because it didn’t meet their request. The English club have been aware of this and the fact that their Dutch counterpart want a club-record fee to sanction his sale.
