There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Nottingham Forest are ready to make their move for Galatasaray forward Baris Alper Yilmaz.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League, and specifically Forest, since he impressed during last summer’s Euros, with a number of clubs showing interest in the past 12 months.
Galatasaray reporter Yakup Çınar has spoken to Haber Sarikirmizi about Yilmaz’s future and he claims Nottingham Forest are preparing an offer for the player.
Çınar said Galatasaray already have a replacement in mind if the player does head to England this summer, and also mentioned Aston Villa and West Ham United interest in previous windows.
“West Ham and Aston Villa wanted Baris Alper Yilmaz at half-time (January). I also recently met with his manager, Tuncay Maldan. Nottingham Forest are preparing to submit a €25-30m offer to Galatasaray for Baris Alper Yilmaz in the near future. If Barıs Alper leaves, Coman’s name may be on Galatasaray’s agenda,” said the journalist.
Nottingham Forest should expect to face competition to sign the Turkey international following reports in the past week that Serie A giants Inter Milan are also monitoring his situation. It’s been claimed the Italian club are ready make a bid for the forward.
Yilmaz made 29 league appearances for Gala last season, scoring 11 goals. He’s contracted to the Super Lig champions until June 2027, but it seems Cimbom could look to cash in on him this summer.
