This week, reports from the English media claimed that with Chelsea failing to sign Michael Olise, they turned their attention to Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson.

With Johnson said to be valued at £50m, it was then claimed the Blues could use players in negotiations with the Reds, to bring that price down.

As Andrey Santos was mentioned as one of those who could end up signing for Nottingham Forest, outlet Premier League Brasil now learned something about this scenario.

The website writes that despite Chelsea’s intentions, the Tricky Trees ‘should not accept’ Santos as a bargaining chip.

It’s claimed that it ‘makes no sense’ for Nottingham Forest to add an ‘inexperienced youngster’ to their squad and build him for Chelsea.

The Reds are said to be looking for more complete players to add to their squad, and there are other Chelsea options who’d be more interesting in the talks.

Before the season, it had even been reported in Brazil that the Blues had rejected loan offers for Santos. Now, as he still wasn’t used in the Premier League, it would appear Chelsea are looking at arranging at exit for him.
